JoAnn “Jodi” Wahl was born February 28, 1939 in Beech, Iowa the daughter of Wilbert and Chassie (Sears) Anderson.
Jodi was raised in Beech and graduated from Pleasantville High School with the class of 1957. During high school, Jodi was the Homecoming Queen. On August 30, 1958 she was united in marriage to John Charles Wahl. The couple were blessed with three children: Kim, Kris and Kraig. They made their home and raised their family in the Pleasantville area. Jodi worked as an Avon manager and retired from the billing department at the Knoxville V.A. Medical Center.
Jodi was active in the Fairview Christian Church and when she moved to town in the Pleasantville Christian Church. She enjoyed working in both church’s youth groups. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and Habitat for Humanity.
Jodi passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics at the age of 78 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kraig; husband, John and her brother, Ronald Anderson.
Those left to cherish Jodi’s memory include her daughters: Kris Garr of Pleasantville and Kim Demro of Raymore, Missouri; 6 grandchildren: Chad, Ethan and Evan Garr; Blake and Lauren Vrem and Lindsey Demro; honorary grandchild, Cassin Garr and many other family members and friends.


A Funeral service for Jodi Wahl, age 78 of Pleasantville, will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Mason Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Mason Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Pleasantville Christian Church Youth Group.
