Jeffrey J Stanley

Jeffrey J. Stanley was born March 31, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Leroy and Ruth (Nicholson) Stanley.
He was raised in Des Moines and at the age of 17, Jeffrey enlisted in the United States Army. He served three years, two of which were overseas. When Jeffrey returned from the service, he worked for the post office in Des Moines. He later worked as an over the road truck driver, mainly for Hawkeye Wood Shavings. Prior to retirement, Jeffrey worked for the V.A. Medical Center in Knoxville. He has lived in Knoxville for over 10 years.
In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoyed motorcycles, old cars, western movies and leather working. Most of all, Jeffrey cherished spending time with his grandkids and his mom.
Jeffrey passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics at the age of 57 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, two children: Jeremy and Jeffrey and a brother, Greg.
Those left to honor Jeffrey’s memory include his son, Jesse; three grandchildren: Adrian, C.J. and Freddy all of Knoxville; mother, Ruth Stanley of Des Moines; brothers: Steve, Tim, Daniel and Mark and many other family members and friends.
Jeffrey has been cremated and burial, with Military Honors, will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa this spring.
