Janet Colleen Kieliger was born June 27, 1934 in Unionville, Missouri the daughter of Robert and Thelma (Bacus) Baldock.
Janet’s family lived in several locations, as she was raised, and settled in the Des Moines, Iowa area. As a young woman she worked as a photo finisher in Unionville, Missouri and later moved to California. On May 27, 1955 Janet was united in marriage to Francis Arthur Kieliger in California. The couple moved to Iowa in the late 1960’s. They made their home in the Swan and Pleasantville, Iowa area. Janet was a homemaker and worked for Shorty’s Restaurant. For the last 15 years, Janet has resided in Knoxville with her daughter, Becky.
In her spare time, Janet enjoyed reading, watching movies and spending time with her family.
Janet passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Lucas County Health Center at the age of 86 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma Baldock; husband, Francis; grandson, Nathan; son-in-law, Douglas Goemaat and sister-in-law, Alma Baldock.
Those left to cherish Janet’s memory include her children: Rebecca, Rhonda, Cindy (Rick) Phillips, Michael (Marja) Kieliger and Steven; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Jerry Baldock, Mary (Richard) Moore, Robert (Joyce) Baldock, Jr., Peggy (Don) Riley, Dennis (Linda) Baldock and Danny (Karen) Baldock and many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service for Janet Kieliger, age 86 of Knoxville and formerly of Pleasantville, will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mason Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pleasantville Cemetery.
