Jacklyn "Jackie" Crone
August 15, 1941 — February 14, 2024
Jacklyn “Jackie” Evans Crone was born August 15, 1941 in Pleasantville, Iowa the daughter of Jack and Bernidene (Scales) Evans.
She was raised in Pleasantville and graduated from Pleasantville High School with the Class of 1959. On December 7, 1958 Jackie was united in marriage to Kenneth Leon Crone. The couple resided in Pleasantville. She was a stay-at-home mother and in later years, Jackie worked at the Pro Shack at the Pleasantville Golf Course.
Jackie supported and attended all activities and events at the Pleasantville Schools, where she especially enjoyed athletic events. She had received numerous awards through the years including Volunteer of the Year and Fan of the Year. Jackie’s commitment to the Pleasantville community and its history was unparalleled. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling and golfing.
Jackie passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at her home in Pleasantville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ken and sister, Betty Chris Metcalf.
Those left to cherish Jackie’s memory include her daughter, Kelly Langebartels (Randy) of Melcher and Jerald Crone (Chris) of Waukee; grandchildren: Korina Nutting, Iziah (Abbey Hermansen) Nutting, Emily (Ty) Cramp and Erin Crone; great-grandchildren: Balian, Mason, Kate and Crew; sisters: Mary Jane McGuire and Janet (Rich) Huck and many other family members and friends.
Attendees are encouraged to wear Pleasantville Trojan attire.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Friends of the Webb Shadle Public Library.
