Harold Wright
August 10, 1930 — December 1, 2021
Harold Mack Wright was born August 10th, 1930 in Centerville, Iowa the son of Wilford Omer and Edna Urcie (McGoldrick) Wright.
He graduated from Centerville High School where he was a star football player. Harold worked for Contel Telephone for 30 years prior to retirement. He was also a member of the National Guard in Centerville for 31 years. Harold was married to his first wife, Gladys Hagen Wright for 20 years. He then married Alice “Muggs” Hook Wright and they were together 35 years, until her passing in 2005. In 2007 Harold married M. Elahvonne Wright and she passed in 2020.
He was an active member of the Masons and Shriners for 50 years. He loved to fish and hunt and spend time with his family. Harold enjoyed many winters at his home in Florida. He lived life to the fullest and will be missed.
Harold passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Vitas Hospice in Naples, Florida.
In addition to his parents and wives, Harold was preceded in death by a son, Harold; daughter, Lou Ann; step-son, Bob and 4 brothers: an infant, Ivan Wright, Allen Wright and Wilford Omer Wright.
Those left to cherish Harold’s memory include 3 children: Cherry, Louis and Mike; 4 stepchildren. Sally, Rita, Bette, and Bill. He had numerous grandchildren as well as great grandchildren. He was a wonderful dad, grandpa and great grandpa.
Harold has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
