Gerald passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Mercy Medical Center, in Des Moines, at the age of 74 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ray Kappelman.
He is survived by his son, Brad (Tammy) Kappelman of Swan, Iowa; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Bryant of Pennsylvania; brother, Eber Kappelman of Indianola and many other family members and friends.
