George Lee Eldreth
February 24, 1949 — February 2, 2021
George Lee Eldreth was born February 24, 1949 in Pittsfield, Pennsylvania the son of Harley and Callie Mae (Bryant) Eldreth.
He was raised in Alabama and Kansas City. Following graduation from high school, George entered the United States Army. He served his country honorably and following his discharge, George worked on a farm in Pennsylvania before taking a job as a chemist with Dow Chemical. In 1980 he moved to Iowa. While working as a C.N.A. George met Jayne Anderson and the couple were married in 1991. In his spare time, George loved watching the Chiefs, bowling and playing pool.
George passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at West Ridge Specialty Care, in Knoxville, at the age of 71 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish George’s memory include his wife, Jayne; children: Tina, Bryan (Beth), Shaun (Annie), Bradley, Nick, Logan, Rob (Sara) and Lilly (Bruce); many grandchildren; siblings: Blaine, Harley, Elaine and Connie and many other family members and friends.
