Evelyn Giorgetti

Evelyn June (McCormick) Giorgetti was born to Edward McCormick and Goldie (Harris) McCormick. Evelyn grew up in Chicago, IL and attended Proviso West High school, class of 1964. She attended various colleges in the Chicago area, including the School of Art Institute of Chicago. She was a beautiful artist and seamstress.

She was united in marriage to Ted Lee Giorgetti on October 25, 1968. They had one daughter, Jennifer Leigh Giorgetti.

She worked for Commonwealth Edison for 17 years, ending her career there as an engineering designer.
Evelyn and Ted retired and moved to Knoxville, Iowa in March of 1983. They spent years of whole summers in Canada and a month of the winters in Texas.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, sister Janet (McCormick) Swanson, brother-in-law Arthur Swanson, husband Ted Giorgetti, step-daughter Terri (Giorgetti) Commander, step-son Timothy Giorgetti, and nephew Marc McCormick.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Jennifer (Troy) Padellford, step-son Thomas Giorgetti, brother Russell (Florence) McCormick, grandchildren Joshua (Jackie) Padellford, Natalie (Logan) Chandler, Emma Padellford, great grandchildren Abram Padellford and Layla Padellford, nieces Karen (Mike) O’Shaughnessy, Valerie (Adam) Rosenzweig, nephews Douglas (Laurie) Swanson and Michael (Laura) McCormick.

Special thanks to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics and Suncrest Hospice for their exceptional care at the end of her life.

Evelyn’s wishes were cremation with no service and a private burial at a later date.
