Esther Mae Steward

Esther Mae Steward was born October 15, 1929 in Pleasantville, Iowa the daughter of Harold and Nellie May (McCoy) Robinson.
She graduated from Beech High School. In 1948 Esther was united in marriage to Lyall Parker. The couple lived in California, Nebraska and Kansas before settling in Pleasantville. Lyall passed away in 1971. In 1978 Esther married James F. Steward. Esther worked at Methodist Hospital in the Insurance Department for 20 years. She then drove a truck with James for a couple years. Esther and James lived in Florida and St. Louis before moving to Knoxville.
Esther passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the West Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center at the age of 87 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyall; brother, James Robinson and son, Albert.
Those left to honor Esther’s memory include her husband, Jim; sons: Howard Parker of Knoxville and Wayne Parker of Hartford; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services for Esther Steward, age 87 of Knoxville, will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Pleasantville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Marion County Humane Society.
