Earl Edward Evinger was born May 16, 1931 in Sugar Creek, Missouri the son of Frank Edward and Lottie (Norman) Evinger.
Earl was raised in Sugar Creek, Missouri and graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1949 he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Quatrocky in Bentonville, Arkansas. Earl drove a truck and the young couple made their home in Kansas City. In 1962 they moved to Randolph, Kansas and Earl became a land developer. In 1968 Earl and Mary moved to Knoxville. Through the years Earl started many housing developments in the Knoxville area.
Earl was active in community and civic organizations, including the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Pony Express Riders, the Masonic Lodge and the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine. Earl was also a certified scuba diver and had help local law enforcement on numerous search and rescue missions.
Earl passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Comfort House, in Pella, at the age of 85 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George; sister, Betty; his wife, Mary in 1983 and a grandson, David Rankin.
Those left to cherish Earl’s memory include his children: Celeste (Jerald) Rankin of Knoxville, Frank (Robby) Evinger of Knoxville and Michael Earl (Janet) Evinger of Knoxville; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Evinger of Rogers, Arkansas; his loving friend of 17 years, Barbara Kramer and many other family members and friends.
