Duane Douglas Holt

Duane Douglas Holt was born September 14, 1941 in Corning, Iowa the son of Odess and Thelma (Minnick) Holt.
He was raised on a farm southeast of Millerton and graduated from Corydon High School with the Class of 1960. Duane worked on the family farm until 1979, when he started hauling grain for area producers. Seven years ago he left Wayne County and moved to Knoxville. In his spare time, Duane enjoyed gardening, tinkering in his tool barn and a good political debate. He was also an avid Hawkeye fan and gun collector.
Duane passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at his home at the age of 74 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Duane is survived by his children: Brenda Birkland (Richard) of Allerton, Iowa, Russell Holt (Marsha) of Princeton, Missouri and Brian Holt (Laura) of New London, Iowa; brother, Melvin Holt (Donna) of Billings, Montana; sister, Irma Moore of Mystic, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
