Donna Jean Richards
April 23, 1943 — January 27, 2025
Donna Jean Richards was born April 24, 1943 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of John Edward Richards and Catherine Evelyn (Brown) Richards.
Donna attended Knoxville Schools and has been a Knoxville resident her entire life. As a young woman, she helped care for her grandmother. She later babysat and worked at the crafts program at the Knoxville Rest Home. She enjoyed walking and was often seen around town on her daily stroll. Donna also enjoyed collecting angels and dolls. She was a devoted member of the Apostolic Church in Knoxville and rarely missed a service. Donna and her late sister, Patty were best friends and lived together many years.
Donna passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Comfort House, in Pella, at the age of 81 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine and her beloved sister, Patricia Ann Richards.
Those left to cherish Donna’s memory include her brothers: David (Judy) Richards of Indianola and Daniel Richards of New Hope, Minnesota; nephew, John Richards; niece, Stephanie Wilson; great niece and nephews and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Apostolic Church.
