Don Tucker
December 14, 1950 — June 17, 2022
Donald Lee Tucker was born December 14, 1950 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Thomas Lee and Barbara Jeaninne (Pence) Tucker.
Don was raised in Knoxville and excelled in track during high school. Don worked 38 years for Alliant Energy, reading meters and as a gas mechanic, retiring on November 30, 2010. Don was united in marriage to Cheryl Stravers on March 5, 1993. In his spare time, he enjoyed music, NASCAR and Sprint races and being outdoors. He raised a large vegetable garden for many years. Don also enjoyed fishing, whether he was teaching the grandkids or on a trip to Canada.
Don passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home at the age of 71 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Rhiannon.
Those left to cherish Don’s memory include his wife, Cheryl; children: Justin Tucker, Wendy Conklin, Josh Tucker and Jonathan Tucker; step-children: Adam Huddle, Alyssa Stoner and Katelin Brees; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, John Tucker and many other family members and friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.
