Delores Ressiebelle Dabb was born January 5, 1935 in Vesta, Nebraska the daughter of Herman and Christina (Rowher) Fleck.
Delores was raised in Nebraska and has lived in Pleasantville since 1955. Delores was married to Dale Eugene Dabb on July 8, 1954 in Knoxville, Iowa. The couple raised six children and farmed. They later divorced. Through the years, Delores worked at Shorty’s, Kmart, West Ridge Care Center and the Marion County Home from which she retired. In November of 2014 she moved to West Ridge Specialty Care in Knoxville.
In her spare time, she enjoyed horses and westerns. Delores was known by her family and friends as a jokester and a great cook. She shared a plethora of old sayings, and was known to sing a lot in the nursing home. Most importantly she loved spending time with friends and her dear family.
Delores passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at West Ridge Specialty Care, in Knoxville, at the age of 88 years.
In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by siblings: Annie Schleip, Ruth Neeman, Gilbert Fleck, Margaret de Koning, Elsie Anson and Bob Dabb and a granddaughter, Katie Jo Dabb.
Those left to cherish Delores’ memory include her children: Galen Dabb, Susan Dabb, Gary Dabb, Jeanette Brazie and Judy Dabb; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sister Janet White and many other family members and friends.
A Funeral Service for Delores Dabb, age 88 of Pleasantville, will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Spurgeon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
