Delores Arlene Breuklander

Delores Arlene Breuklander was born September 24, 1939 in Knoxville, Iowa. She was the daughter of Walter and Virginia I. (Davis) Sharp.
In her early years she worked at Park Lane Café, which her parents owned. Delores later worked for the Shamrock Café where she would meet Marion Breuklander. On November 1, 1969, Delores was united in marriage to Marion H. Breuklander in Knoxville, Iowa. Delores spent 30 years working at the Knoxville Veteran Affairs Hospital in laundry service, before retiring on July 31, 1994. She will be remembered as a very happy, easy-going and giving person.
In her spare time, she enjoyed embroidery, latch hook and reading. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, especially football and basketball. Delores’ other great joy was her dogs; she had several through the years and loved their companionship.
Delores passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the West Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center at the age of 74 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion; siblings: Leonard Sharp and Shirley Barber and in-laws: John and Tryntje Oostrum Breuklander, Lawrence Breuklander and Leona King.
Those left to mourn her passing include her son, John (Kathy) Breuklander of Forest City; grandchildren, Stacey and Shawn (Jessica) Breuklander; siblings: Leland Sharp of Modesto, CA; Eloise (Chester) Bricker of Green Valley, AZ; Mary (Robert) Pinegar of Marysville and Robin (Skip) Hicks of Carlsborg, WA; in-laws: Jacqueline Sharp of Knoxville; Joan Kinner of Las Vegas, NV and Amy Breuklander of St. Louis, MO and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and other family members and friends.
