Daryl Albert Jordan

Daryl Albert Jordan was born May 19, 1938 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Dee and Mildred (Covey) Jordan.
Daryl graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class of 1956. On January 27, 1963 Daryl was united in marriage to Connie Dainty. Daryl worked at the Knoxville V.A. Hospital in various roles for over 38 years before retiring in 2001. Daryl also spent his time farming his family's land.
Daryl shared his love of farm life by being active in the FFA and 4-H. He restored Model T's, and spent many summer days showing them off in area parades. He was also a model train enthusiast, with an extensive collection. He was also an avid Iowa State Fair-goer each year, oftentimes camping there for several days.
Daryl passed away Friday, May 25 2018 at Knoxville Hospitals & Clinics at the age of 80 years.
He was proceeded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish Daryl's memory include his wife, Connie; children: Rob (Teri) Jordan and Janea (John) Balsley; grandchildren; Taylor, Mark, and Katie; great-granddaughter, Karsyn; sister, Jolene Harrington; many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service for Daryl Jordan, age 80 of Knoxville, will be held Tuesday May 29, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for the purchase of a bench at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
