Danny Gerald Fall was born July 17, 1942 in Oskaloosa, Iowa the son of Walt and Toni (Thomas) Fall.
He was raised in the Knoxville area and graduated with the Knoxville High School Class of 1960. Following graduation, Dan attended Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri. In 1962 Dan entered the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1965 after being stationed in Germany as a teletype operator. Dan returned to Knoxville and sold real estate, insurance to banks and then worked for Community National Bank. He later joined his father at the family business, Jude Coal Company, which he ran until closing the operation in 1993. On July 5, 1997 Dan was united in marriage to Sandy (Whitlatch) Fisher at the Olive Chapel United Methodist Church. The couple was blessed with nearly 17 wonderful years together.
In his spare time, Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed golfing with his foursome and won numerous tournaments at Pine Knolls Country Club, including the Sole Survivor many times. He also enjoyed the annual fishing trips to Canada. Dan was a loving husband and a very proud Grandpa. It was important to Dan that his family was happy and taken care of.
Dan passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at his home at the age of 71 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to mourn his passing include his wife, Sandy; sister Jo (Al) Dorenkamp of Polk City; step-daughters: Sue (Rick) Kauzlarich of Knoxville and Sally (Kevin) Clark of Attica; grandchildren: Zeke and Jenna Kauzlarich and Eric and Ben Clark; nieces: Joy (Rod) Wiebers and Holly (Scott) Bergman and their children, Eli and Grace Wiebers and Skyler Bergman and many other family members and friends.

Dan has been cremated and private burial will be in Graceland Cemetery – Knoxville, Iowa.
Military Honors accorded by the American Legion Baty-Tucker Post No. 168, the V.F.W. John Myers Post #3519 and the United States Army.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Olive Chapel United Methodist Church or to H.C.I. Care Services Knoxville Office.

A Celebration of Life Service for Dan Fall, age 71 of Knoxville, will be held on Saturday, May 31 at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin after 12:00 p.m. Friday at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Private burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
