Christina Marguerite Phillips was born October 14, 1932 in Whiteville, Arkansas the daughter of Leonard and Ruby (Suggs) Crownover.

She was raised in Whiteville and graduated from Cotter High School. Following high school, Christina attended business school in Kansas City. Upon graduation from business school, Christina worked for a Doctor in Mountain Home, Arkansas. On November 1, 1952 she was united in marriage to Raymond Phillips in Salem, Arkansas. In 1956, the family moved to the Pleasantville, Iowa area and formed the Crownover-Phillips Sawmill, which Raymond operated with his father-in-law for 20 years. Christina and Raymond also owned Phillips Trucking, farmed and raised cattle.

Family was of foremost importance to Christina; she was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. As a dedicated farm wife, she helped her husband whenever needed. As a daughter and sister, she kept in close contact with her parents and siblings.

Christina passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the West Ridge Specialty Care, in Knoxville, Iowa, at the age of 91 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond and siblings: Karen Crownover and Lonnie Crownover.

Those left to cherish Christina’s memory include her children: Kyle (Susan), Mona (Dan) Milledge all of Pleasantville, Tammy (Bill) Gahan of Urbandale, Kris (Lori) of Madrid and Melissa (Jeffery) Gambrall of Iowa City; 18 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Core and many other family members and friends.

Christina has been cremated and a private family service was held.
