Charlotte Wilson was born August 21, 1933 in Burlington, Iowa.
Charlotte’s family lived in various locations when she was being raised, as her father’s pursued various business opportunities. She graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in Crosby, Minnesota. Following high school, Charlotte worked at the Honeywell Lab in Minneapolis for a few years. She was united in marriage to Richard Don Wilson on July 2, 1954 in Glen Lake, Minnesota. In 1961 the couple moved to Knoxville, Iowa. In Knoxville, Charlotte had worked for Harrison’s Variety, Schmaltz’s Health Mart and Hy-Vee prior to retirement.
Charlotte was a faithful and dedicated member of the Apostolic Church in Knoxville since 1961.
Charlotte passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Comfort House, in Pella, at the age of 84 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Dorothy and Cecil Hagerla and Charles Krebbs and her husband, Don.
Those left to cherish Charlotte’s memory include her children: Deborah (Tom) Velie, David (Toni) Wilson, Linda (Leonard) Geery and William (Barb) Wilson; many grand and great-grandchildren; siblings: Marge Edmond, Richard Hagerla, Joan Stromberg and Roberta Salzbrun and many other family member and friends.
A memorial service for Charlotte Wilson, age 84 of Knoxville, will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Apostolic Church. Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Church.
