Charles "Cap" Wimmer

Charles “Cap” Albert Wimmer, age 55 of Pleasantville, Iowa, died on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Cap was born March 18, 1966 in Indianola, Iowa, to Willard Wimmer and Mary (Robbins) Rodda.
Cap grew up around the Indianola and Pleasantville area graduating from high school in 1985 from Climax Springs, Missouri. He started his career out by joining the United States Navy. Following the Navy, he found his home in Pleasantville, Iowa. He started driving semi for American Freightways before becoming employed by FedEx Freight, where he has spent the last 26 years.
Caps had many hobbies including hunting, finishing, golfing, riding his motorcycle, tromping the woods to find a mess of mushrooms and spending time with his friends, where he was always the life of the party!
He will be remembered by his wife Carla, his children Taelor Wimmer (Eric Nott), Brad Wimmer, stepchildren Jennifer Timmins (Mike), Clint Curry (Loreesa), Mother Mary Rodda (John), stepmother Cheryl Wimmer, siblings Steve Wimmer, David Rodda, Jonette Scandrett (Chad), Margie Brent, Brian Teems (Amy), Brenda Teems-Wiese (Dan), Jason Teems (Tiffany), grandchildren, Irelynn, Briar, Sawyer, Dakota, Shelbie, Seth, Sydnee and many other family and friends. Cap was preceded in death by his father Willard.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Pleasantville Memorial Hall, 101 North Jefferson St, Pleasantville, IA. The family will great friends/family at 10:00 a.m. with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m., where we encourage you to share your favorite memory. Join the family in a luncheon immediately after the service. A burial will be determined at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or Addictions Recovery Center.
