Carla Nadine Forst-Bachman

Carla Nadine Forst Bachman, went to be with our Lord on June 6, 2014, with her family at her bedside at home.
Carla was 82 years young, born on March 16, 1932, the daughter of Tom and Ona Forst. She was the sister of Marilyn McDonald of Knoxville, IA, Darrell Forst of Sun City, AZ, and Donald Forst of Glendale, AZ. Carla and her siblings grew up on the farm with their parents in Pleasantville, IA. She was united in marriage on June 4, 1949, to Donal G. Bachman of Melcher-Dallas, IA. From this union Don and Carla had five children; Carole Bachman, Donna Bachman, Kevin Bachman, Kalvin (Tina) Bachman, and Karlene (DJ) Gibson.
Carla spent most of her life raising their five children, before returning to school and received her Nursing Assistant Certification. Until her retirement, Carla worked in the medical field.
Carla has seven grandchildren; Steve Hebron (Becky Furman), Russ Lindley (Tisha Stevenson), Michael Bachman, Mandi (John) Bidwell, Dustin Bachman (Megan Bell), Richard (Afton) Villalobos, Brenda (Joe) Arroys, and Bobby Steadham, 11 great-grandchildren; Stephanie Hebron, Alexis Hebron, Cody (Allison) Lindley, Kayla Lindley, Hailey Lindley, Dominick Bachman, Ryder Bachman, Enadalia Bidwell, Karma Villalobos, and Olivia Villalobos, Three great-great grandchildren; Brandon Jr. Overton, Amaya Collins, and Cayden Lindley, with two more on the way, nieces and nephews; Darlene Middleton of St. Joseph MO, Brian T. McDonald of Las Vegas, NV, Kyle Forst of Knoxville, IA, Julie Duff of Rochester, MN, and Debra Rupprecht of Des Moines, IA, and many great nieces and nephews.
What Carla loved most in her life was her family. Every member of her family felt her love and gave their heart to her.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ona, one son Kevin Bachman, one daughter, Donna Bachman, father of her children, Donal Bachman, a brother-in-law, Ike McDonald, a niece, Abbie Forst, and a son-in-law, Raymond Villalobos.
