Brandi Jeanne Freel

Brandi Jeanne Freel was born October 19, 1972 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Leo and Carol (Busick) Freel.
She graduated from Pleasantville High School with the Class of 1991. She obtained her RN Degree and worked at Mercy and Methodist Hospitals in Des Moines. After Brandi earned her Master Degree she taught at DMACC and Mercy Hospital. She was currently employed by Job Corps in Ottumwa, Iowa and had plans to obtain her PhD. Brandi had immense compassion for people and all of God’s creatures which helped make her an amazing nurse.
Brandi passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at her home, in Oskaloosa, at the age of 44 years.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Robert and Jeanne Busick and Arden and Virginia Freel.
Those left to cherish Brandi’s memory include her children: Rachel, Laura, Andrew and Leo Surbaugh and parents, Leo and Carol Freel all of Knoxville; brother, Brandon Freel of Georgia and many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service for Brandi Freel, age 44 of Oskaloosa, will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Pleasantville Cemetery.
