Anna Marie Metcalf, 86, of Pleasantville, passed away peacefully June 4 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines surrounded by her loving family. She was born in rural Pleasantville on September 25, 1929, the daughter of Antonie and Jeanette (Klyn) Van Ryswyk.
Anna Marie married the love of her life, Howard Dean Metcalf, February 22, 1947, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Craig and Bobbi Metcalf. She was a lifelong resident of Pleasantville.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 8 at 11 AM at Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville with family visitation Tuesday evening 6-8 PM. Burial will be in the Pleasantville Cemetery.
Those surviving her are Craig (Joyce) Metcalf and Bobbi (Mark) Milledge all of Pleasantville. Four grandsons: Mike (Lindsay) Metcalf, Brad (Jessica) Metcalf, Adam (Kelly) Milledge, and Ryan (Danielle) Milledge. Seven great-grandchildren: Cody, Colton, Carter and Clara Metcalf and Hunter, Hayden, and Haylee Milledge. She is also survived by aunts, Mildred Maeschen and Mary Van Ryswyk Wells and uncle Willard Van Ryswyk.
Preceding her in death was her husband Howard in 1985 and her parents.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Pleasantville American Legion Post 108.
