Angelo William “Cookie” Chenet was born June 14, 1936 in Waukee, Iowa the son of Marco Angelo and Beatrice (Chambers) Chenet.
He was raised in the Des Moines area and his family later moved to Harvey. As a young man, Cookie enlisted in the United States Air Force, he served four years before he was honorably discharged. He then returned to the Harvey and Tracy areas and began his career at Pella Corp. On June 12, 1977 he was united in marriage to Donna Seeber. He worked in the Tool & Die Department at Pella and retired with 40 years of service.
In his spare time, Cookie enjoyed trapping, hunting, mushrooming and gardening.
Cookie passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at his home, in Tracy, Iowa, at the age of 79 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jimmy Dino and a sister, Sarah.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Donna; children: Kenneth, Roxann, Sheryl, Dan, Mark, Tracy, Kelly, and Maria; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
