Alberta V Clark

Alberta Verdene Clark was born April 18, 1926 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Florance F. and Maggie (Scott) Furcht.
Alberta was raised in Knoxville and attended school there. On December 24, 1948 she was united in marriage to Don Clark. After their marriage, Alberta was a telephone operator for Bellamy Telephone. She and Don had two sons, Mike and Dennis. Alberta was a dedicated homemaker, wife and mother. She also worked part time in the dietetics department at the Knoxville V.A. Medical Center for 15 years.
Alberta and Don enjoyed taking their boys camping and fishing many times through the years. Alberta and her aunt Elizabeth Neifert also spent a lot of time together, especially on shopping trips. She also loved to cook and bake for all her family.
Alberta passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Pella Regional Health Center at the age of 97 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Francis.
Those left to cherish Alberta’s memory include her husband, Don; sons: Mike (Melody) of West Des Moines and Dennis (Cynthia) of Oceanside, California; grandchildren: Travis, Ashley, Jason and Katherine (Mason) Ward; great-grandchildren: Canon, Madeline, Sunny, and Kate and many other family members and friends.
A Funeral Service for Alberta Clark, age 97 of Knoxville, will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
