Ada Grace Bennett was born June 8, 1923 in Lorimor, Iowa the daughter of Horace and Ethel (Masters) Carter.
On August 25, 1946 she was united in marriage to Elmer Lloyd Bennett at Fort Des Moines, Iowa. The couple lived in Knoxville most of their married lives. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In her spare time, Ada enjoyed cross-stitching, gardening and shopping – especially for jewelry. She was a very ornery and spunky lady, with a soft spot for animals.
Ada passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the West Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center at the age of 90 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and five sisters.
Those left to honor her memory include her children and their families: Donald Bennett of Minnesota and his children: Randy Bennett and Michelle Martin of Knoxville and Harold (Sherry) Bennett of Knoxville and their children: Monica Bennett and Emerie Bennett of Knoxville; five great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
