Aaron Douglas Goemaat
February 29, 1980 — May 10, 2021
Aaron Douglas Goemaat was born February 29, 1980 in Pella, Iowa the son of Douglas and Rebecca (Kieliger) Goemaat.
He was raised in the Attica, Iowa area and attended Twin Cedars Schools. Aaron worked construction for several years with his brother-in-law, Brent Black. Most recently he was working at the Hy-Vee warehouse in Chariton. In his spare time, Aaron enjoyed fishing, camping and barbequing. He also liked the Knoxville Nationals and all the people he met when parking cars.
Aaron passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center, in Des Moines, at the age of 41 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Doug and brother, Nathen.
Those left to cherish Aaron’s memory include his mother, Rebecca; brother, Michael; sister, Stacy (Brent) Black and many other family members and friends.
A Funeral Service for Aaron Goemaat, age 41, of Knoxville will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gullion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
