Susan Elizabeth Scott

Susan Elizabeth Scott was born December 6, 1948 in Jamesport, Missouri the daughter of Lloyd and Evelyn (Enos) Mills.
Susan was raised in Jamesporte and following high school, she attended Northeast Missouri State in Kirksville. While in college she met the love of her life, Larry Scott. Susan and Larry were united in marriage on September 7, 1968 in Jamesport, Missouri. Following college the couple lived in Washington, Missouri for 5 years, then Bethany, Missouri for 7 years. In 1981 they moved to Knoxville, Iowa where Susan operated a day care service.
Susan was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi sorority. In her spare time, she liked bird and deer watching and gardening. Susan also liked to take her kids fishing. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren, Susan enjoyed spending time with them and always instilled the value of education to the kids.
Susan passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Mercy Medical Center, in Des Moines, at the age of 68 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish Susan’s memory include her husband, Larry; children: Daniel Scott and Diana (Brandon) Crowell; grandchildren: Evelyn and Austen Crowell all of Knoxville and many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service for Susan Scott, age 68 of Knoxville, will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knoxville Panther Scholarship Foundation.
